Our models are  100% hand built from scratch using “plank on frame” construction method. Completed models contain thousands of details created by our skillful master craftsmen. They are made of finest wood like Rosewood, Mahogany, Teak and other Exotic Tropical Wood. Chrome and Brass Fittings and Ornaments constitute the excellence of our models. Metal parts and details are bronzed, gold tone or chrome plated and the wood is either finely painted or has  varnished finishes.You can easily locate stunning wooden parts and ornaments such as: wooden mast, wooden boom,  wooden bunkers, fabric sails and detailed stitching, wooden poles and metal steering, and  long metal  side rails. The lines on our ships  are working lines.  They can be tightened and loosened.  We only use high quality wood and metal, absolutely no plastic parts. Extensive research through original plans and pictures make our models authentic. Each model goes through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop.

Named in honor of the Sun King, Louis XIV, Le Soleil Royal was one of the most powerful ships of her day. As flagship of the revitalized French Navy brought into being by Minister of Marine Jean-Baptiste Colbert, she was sumptuously decorated with wooden carvings depicting a variety of motifs emblematic of the French monarch. The taffrail was embellished with a rendering of the sun god drawn across the sky by a team of horses, while the ornate figurehead showed a seahorse flanked by winged maidens.
